And Daytime Warming Centers
The Warming Centers of Ann Arbor are kind and wonderful area faith communities' scattered among the Ann Arbor area.
*No pre-registration necessary for daytime warming centers.
In Ypsilanti, during the 2022-2023 Winter Season; the Ypsilanti Freight House was utilized.
Beginning with the expansions of hours and the length of the Daytime Warming Centers kept open by an additional 3 weeks! Beginning the 2nd week in November and running through April 1, 2023
As well as an increase in staff numbers from 3 part time staff to 6 part time staff!
Though we all giggle at the term "part time"; it is an open secret that we all put in an awful lot of volunteer hours outside our scheduled times.
Warming Center had art, Circling Back; a peer support group, a DBT group, hair cuts, card games, trivia contests, massages, concerts, vaccine clinics, a recovery resource fair, reiki, meditation, and lots and lots of good food!
Sherri is always looking for good volunteers to help at both locations.
If you are interested in Volunteering during the 2023-24 Warming Centers,
